Welcome to Pulsed Wellness
What is Pulsed Light Therapy?
Pulsed light therapy uses light emitting diodes (LED) within a soft neoprene pad and selected by specific wavelengths using pulsed frequencies to distribute light to the specific area of the body, which then produces a therapeutic effect.
Albert Einstein said, “the future of medicine is a medicine of frequencies.” Well the future is here. Using the most commonly known wavelengths of red, blue, and near infrared light, this therapy accelerates blood flow and oxygen to damaged tissues. As this diffused light spreads out over the affected area, circulation is increased which allows for greater nutrient-rich blood to flow to nerves, muscles, joints and other tissues. The result is a reduction in pain and inflammation which allows the body’s natural healing process to run its course much more quickly.
For people dealing with chronic pain that makes other treatments that only mask the symptoms difficult or ineffective, pulsed light therapy is regarded as highly effective and very safe, painless, non-invasive and has no known negative side effects. There is also no down time needed after a treatment session. A typical session can last about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the condition.
More and more studies are being done to take a deeper dive into the effectiveness of pulsed light therapy and its impact on neurological disorders, traumatic brain injuries, autoimmune conditions, metabolic syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and other brain diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
Pulsed light therapy has been proven effective in helping people suffering from back, shoulder, and neck pain, peripheral neuropathy, carpel tunnel, tennis elbow, knee, hip and ankle pain. Pulsed light therapy is currently being used by a variety of health care practitioners including chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, podiatrists, pain management physicians, naturopathic doctors, and massage therapists. Harvard and Boston University have entire departments concentrating on this technology and are delivering great research.
Pulsed light therapy is extremely safe and there is no recovery time after the initial session. You can place the pulsed light therapy pads on large areas or two or more areas of the body simultaneously. Once the pads are in place and the unit is turned on, people can sit back and relax as the 20 to 30-minute session progresses.
Accelerating the body’s own innate healing ability is the best way to achieve and maintain health and hopefully avoid ineffective and dangerous drugs and surgery. Because pulsed light therapy strengthens the immune system, sessions can also be preventative. Pulsed light therapy is a practical and affordable addition any family’s health and wellness routine.
